2025 Wrap-Up

Happy holidays from our team to you

2025 shall be remembered as ‘The Slog’.

This has without a doubt been the hardest year in business Dan and I (Rhiannon) have had since we became business owners in 2017. But it’s been an honour to carry on the family business through its ups and downs, and we are looking forward to 2026.
We cannot thank our loyal customers enough for choosing Jarvis this year.

You were the reason we had enough work to make it through the year.
We are privileged to have the community we do. THANK YOU!

We’re big believers in investing in our team, so we have done everything we can to keep morale up during the harsh winter months and through the year’s uncertain times. We are proud to have not only held on to our team, but grown this year.

Dan and I plan to take a couple of restful weeks off camping in the Coromandel with the kids and come back refreshed for an what is shaping up to be a great year for the industry, and Wellington’s economy.

We will have one on-call plumber on over the break to service emergencies for our existing customers – Just call 04 939 0011 and you’ll be put through to Ridge.

We Love Our Team!

The crew has been working hard all year, helping us continue to deliver great service. We put a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality work and going the extra mile for our customers, and it’s amazing to see staff embody these values so naturally.

This year we had to say farewell to Piri as he headed off to Australia. We also welcomed our new tradesman Aaron, apprentices Petar, Keahn and Cassandra in the office. They have been awesome additions to our team.

We congratulated Jayden, Ridge, Tom and Ollie who all gained qualifications this year and passed their exams with flying colours. We do everything we can to support a rich learning environment and motivate our team to upskill, but it all really comes down to these guys’ dedication and perseverance.

(L-R) Jayden achieved a Certifying Plumbing level this year, the highest possible qualification.
Tom gained Plumbing & Drainlaying licences. Ollie gained his first licence in Drainlaying. Ridge gained Plumbing, Drainlaying and Gasfitting Licences.

Master plumbers for 40 years

This year the Jarvis family celebrated 40 years with Master Plumbers!

House of the year 2025

Back in August, Hodson Construction were named the WINNERS of the Cook Strait Supreme Renovation of the Year Award for their thoughtful transformation of a Mount Victoria character cottage.

We are so proud to have completed the plumbing, central heating and drainage for this beautiful renovation. Thanks to Hodson Construction for inviting us to celebrate with you.

Team events 2025

Jarvis is known for its compassion for staff and encouragement and awesome team events, as pictured – meals, trips, and full training days.

We’ve had some awesome team days this year, including axe throwing and a Panhead dinner, an NZCIS Wellness day and Boneface dinner, the great Jarvis Quiz, Piri’s leaving BBQ, and an exclusive Allproof factory tour.

It was a real pleasure to spend a day in Auckland last week with our team thanking them for this year's work. It’s important to us to stick to our values of team investment even when times are tough. We all worked harder than we have ever before to stay afloat and that deserves reward and celebration.

At our day at NZCIS, the team was trained like the professional athletes they are, and they even got massages and hopped into the saunas, red light therapy rooms and hot tub at the end of the day for a bit of relaxing!

Dan’s videographer cuzzy Josh Hoffman came along to get some awesome footage of the day, you can check out the video on Instagram by clicking here.

Dan, Dave, Callum, Genny & Rhiannon

Happy 20 Years at Jarvis, Callum!

This month we’re proud to celebrate Callum being with Jarvis for over two decades!

In 2005 Callum first walked in the door as a school kid on a Taita College Gateway placement. He started full time after his last day at school, straight into his apprenticeship. Callum qualified as a Tradesman passing everything with ease, and then trained on to the highest level in each trade as a Certifying Plumber, Gasfitter and Drainalyer. Three years ago Callum started his move off the tools and into the office quoting and as Jarvis 2IC.

Callum has always shown incredible competence in everything he has undertaken, we’re so incredubly lucky to have him. While being highly talented in all three trades - the best thing Callum brings to Jarvis is just himself! There is no more supportive, fun loving and kind team member, who is so generous with his time and knowledge. Everyone can rely on Callum, and we absolutely could not operate to the level we do without him.

New Community Sponsorships

In addition to our existing sponsorships (see the full list here), we’ve added some new ones to the family this year:

Jarvis Plumbing + Gasworks has begun supporting an increased number of charities in 2025, including Age Concern Wellington Region, Stokes Valley Tennis Club, Stokes Valley Foodbank, Wellington Junior Girls Rugby, and Wellington Access Radio.

It’s important to us to keep supporting organisations that make a difference in our community. The Hutt wouldn’t be the same without them!

If you know of a charity or club that might need a hand in 2026, let us know at office@jarvisplumbing.co.nz.

Happy Holidays

We hope you’ll have a great holiday season and get some well-deserved rest – it’s been a hard year for everyone. We look forward to being of service to you in 2026!

Rhiannon & Dan Jarvis

Best wishes from the best plumbers in the Hutt Valley, Jarvis
